The Long Term Workforce Housing Program provides grants and loans to local units of government, non-profits and for-profit organizations to provide long term affordable housing in Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, and Pearl River counties on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. An aggregate amount of $350 million has been allocated for this program, which will assist in the provision of homeownership and rental units in the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina.
